Joseph Curtatone, Somerville Mayor and good friend of George Scarpelli said on Thursday, 1/19/17 " that community ACCESS in Somerville was "effective community media" and that "holding electied officials accountable through media" is important. Mayor Curtatone's speech was tremendous to the packed house at Somerville Community Access Television - the place which three decades ago, on the eve of an election - read the FBI files on Vinny Piro. A write-in candidate beat Piro, and the reverberations in Medford were to SHUT DOWN and CENSOR all local media, including what the newspapers (dependent upon city hall) could write. It was a pure dictatorship, straight out of Havana, Cuba, with Mark E. Rumley, the Solicitor, referencing Havana when speaking about Medford Community Cablevision, Inc. Mr. Rumley should know, he sat on the board and did little to help the citizens who were defamed, harassed and threatened by a group of thugs that Rumley sat on a board of directors with. Shame on Mark Rumley for his two-faced stance - lip service Rumley whose despicable actions are the opposite of what he says to the public, and to a retired judge: "“The one sentiment that I have heard that I take great exception to is that the city is trying to limit speech,” said Rumley. “The notion the city would censor or squelch free speech is baseless and as city solicitor I would find any such effort repugnant.”

Truth, her "justice for all" is a sham, a front. She picks and chooses those who kissed her derriere and those who don't - malicious abuse of process, abuse of the legal system to attempt to shut down her critics, she - Muccini-Burke - is just a robot - the extension of Michael J. McGlynn, only worse. Worse because - like Mark Rumley - her agenda doesn't include the citizens of Medford who pay both those abusers so handsomely.

Viglione wins film award for THE BIRDS RETURN - funded in part by TV3 Medford. What a shock to those clowns that the person who won the award was their nemesis - only proving that TV3 was NOT about serving the community and recognizing real talent; TV3 but clueless station managers from Steve Marra on down to obstruct free speech and censor citizens from expressing themselves.

Why is there NO CABLE TV ADVISORY COMMITTEE in Medford? It is so inappropriate for the "issuing authority" to have no cable advisory committee.
I have spoken to the Medford City Council on a number of occasions that we could have a mobile TV station going from the library to the Chevalier and all over the city while Stephanie Burke builds a no-access station that will serve the high school, not properly serve the public.
Here's some critical information based on Muccini-Burke's own press releases and Solicitor Mark Rumley's lip service. Note how it is in conflict with Mayor Joe Curtatone's excellent views on access TV and a station that the entire nation is aware of - Somerville TV

Stephanie Burke won't allow a knowledgeable award-winning veteran to run access TV, because I supported "the other guy" in Election 2015 So Medford doesn't get talent, it gets the Stephanie hackerama. Go figure.
